To me, Triumph is all about nice little convertible sports cars from the sixties and the seventies. The days before roll bars, airbags, power steering and all that nonsense
that interferes with pleasant motoring. Obviously, this is romantically a very nice thing to cling to, but in real life it is… well, nonsense. However, I truly am fond of the sports cars of that era. And, funny enough, once I started digging into the facts of this car, this Herald surely is growing on me as well. This ‘saloon’ car certainly looks the part, thanks to designer Michelotti. I doubt that it ever made the money Thiumph hoped it would, but it is a nice car. I spotted it months ago in the dazzling metropolitan Londonesque mega city of… Maassluis.
The house we visited never really took our fancy. It was big, with an impressive front, a nice view form the rooms, a nice and seclusive garden. The living room was combined with a very large kitchen, and the whole room was spacious and oozed grandeur. The whole first or ground floor was reserved as a home office, and beneath it was a full cellar which in itself was bigger that the house I now live in. So why didn’t we buy it?
Well, there was this tiny little problem… The foundation had rotted away…
Anyway, these pictures ended up in the wrong files, but, at last, are now posted here. Technically not exactly a wonder or amazing feat, I still think it is a nice little car, in a way that for instance DAF’s can be nice little cars… But at least, these cars have some nice features.

Yeah, one of them is that these cars never start, when they do rainwater poors in
I do see you fondness for these cars, don’t get me wrong, but they are not as romantic as they seem. A DAF however…

Hi
Ones I did read “nobody can explain why you love your herald, but when you have one, you know why you love the car”
I have two off them, and I surely know why to love this amazing small car.
A herald lover
