Cars of Coolhaven

As may be obvious from my nickname, I like the Citroën DS. Correction, I love it! I think it’s one of the most elegant and clever cars ever devised. Of course, if you have an old one it will rust from underneath your butt, and if you have one from 1984 onwards, it looks like Battlestar Galactica landed on earth without installing its gravity shields, but still. The original models, where the headlights would swivel in tune with your steering wheel, and the suspension was hydraulic so you could lower it, have me feeling just that little bit happier about being a human being.

Enough banter, here’s a car: the Citroën DS 21, I don’t know which year (I’m a girl so I don’t have the right hormones for remembering exact car model production years, although I try to bluff my way sometimes), standing in a drizzle on a Rotterdam Noord parking lot. Of course I didn’t have my camera with me (Murphy?), and I’m not too well versed in using my boyfriend’s mobile phone-camera (neither is he, it’s not a very good camera (I’m trying to avoid a libel case here)), so some of these pics are a bit off the mark. Still, enjoy!
