A London taxi cab on Coolhaven, that’s gonna be quite a fare

Well, we certainly can’t call this a unique or rare car. However, I do not see them that often in Rotterdam, so here is the Austin FX4, better known as a London cab.

Produced between 1958 and 1997, I have no idea from what year this shiny black car is… Who cares, I like the detailing on it, love the bonnet ornament!

Coolhaven ends with a large lock (for ships, that is), and this can generate nice traffic jams (for cars, that is) from time to time. Not so nice when you are in a hurry, but handy for shooting pictures of passing Austin’s. A original right hand drive, of course, this cab nowadays makes a living as a wedding car. Thanks to the traffic jam, the proud driver and I had all the time of the world to exchange URLs.
