Cars of Coolhaven

This is a Mini Moke which I saw on the French Riviera.It is a real beach car. It is used for that purpose as well .

It is the kind of car which I would buy if I had a summer house in that area. But they are quiet populair there and for that reason also very expensive.

The mini moke was build from 1968 until 1993, and a total of 50.000 where build.

This was accomplished by various factory’s in various county’s. The Moke was originally build for the British army but they didn’t think it was a very useful car for them.

Originally, the Moke was called Mini Moke, but there are also versions called Leyland Moke. With a car with this looks and fun factor, and roots firmly in the Uk, there are a lot of Kit cars and look-alikes.

The Mini Moke shares the mechanical parts and engine of a ‘normal’ traditional Mini. From 1968 until 1988 it had competition from the Citroën Mehari and from 1970 until 1987 from the Renault Rodeo. These care’s were much more popular in the time and sold better.
