The Renault Rodeo was like the and the Citroen Mehari a small, light and practical front-wheel drive go anywhere car. This one is the 3rd generation of the Rodeo. The first generation was called the Renault Rodeo 4 and was based on the Renault 4 ( 4L) commercial van. The second generation (Rodeo 6) was based on the Renault 6 and later on the Renault 5. The third generation had a new body and was build from 1981 until 1987.
This one looks very well looked after but I think it is recently rebuild. There were 60.000 Rodeo’s build but you rarely see them. This is the 3rd I saw, ever, and I never saw one outside France. Like the Mini Moke it is a great beach car but if it was my money I would buy the Moke. Other names for the Rodeo were ACL Rodeo and Rodeo Hoggar.

I presumed, because that is how you can read it too, that you said you spotted it outside France…

Aha… well, even better: I didn’t spot it at all
This is a post from deJurriaan.

Bon jour, est-ce que j’étais intéressé à acheter des bouts de rechange pour un Renault Rodeo de 1977, est-ce que vous pourriez me donner des renseignements sur quelque détaillant? Merci.

Was good morning, interested to purchase some pieces of exchange for a 1977 Renault Rodeo, could you give me some information on some retailer? Thanks.

Google it! This is a car appreciation website, not a marketplace?! And if you’d bother to read the post, or maybe even a few, you would have noticed that?

I think I contribute something with this site, so I think I am allowed my quirks every now and then… Not everybody agrees, but that’s what the ‘moderate first’ IP batch is for

Our family owns a 1979 Renault Rodeo, which we bought and picked up new from the factory in France. It still has its hard top and is still going strong today, here in Jersey
