This car needs little introduction. It is as iconic as a car can get, so I will only bore you with nice pictures and anecdotes. All the technical stuff and historical data on the first of all VW Transporter vans is already out there… Visit wikipedia and you know it all.
Being a whitewater enthusiast, I have quite a bit of surfing spirit in me. Needless to say, I adore this car! I am fully aware of the impracticalities of this old splittie van. Short weekend trips of 1500+ km, fairly doable in my 307 are not feasable in this slow relic of the sixties, but still… Just look at it!!!
