Fast Fords: Ford Fiesta ST & Ford Focus ST

February 29th, 2008 by Rolph · No Comments

Some cars that won’t make it to posters on kids’ bedroom walls, these two hot hatches are together just exciting enough for a post. deJurriaan took some pictures of the Fiesta St on Scheveningen a week ago, and only a day later I spot the Focus ST while on a walk though Dordrecht. So let’s combine the two in this post, and have a look on these two not-so-exciting-exciting versions of Ford hatchbacks

Sure, the performance is better, but I reckon you aren’t getting laid telling the girls at the pub you drive a Fiesta. It is a car you don’t run into much, but if you want the facts and figures, you do the Googling. The car uses the same T5 engine from the Volvo S40/V50 T5 models, a turbocharged 2.5 L 5-cylinder engine producing 225 hp. It isn’t dragging its feet, but look at it! Granted, these cars have some nice racing seats and sporty interiors, and the allow wheel aren’t bad either, but let’s face it: in their core, they are boring middle of the road generic cars. With a sporty coating, but still. Oh well, maybe I am just not that much into the hot hatches, at least not the Ford versions of them.
