Chevrolet 3100 light-duty panel truck (1958)

For something completely different, have a look at this Chevrolet 3100 panel truck. The number plate says it’s a ’58 model, the internet seems to be dating it a bit older, but whatever is the truth, we have ourselves a half century old little beast of a car, and in great condition as well!

If Wikipedia is to be believed, it looks remarkably like a post-war Advance Design series Chevie truck, built between 1947 and 1955. Then again, the 1957 Chevrolet 3106/3116 Suburban Carryall on Howstuffworks looks remarkably similar, bar the windows. Interesting read, btw, I know little people who use that site for information, but it contains very much interesting facts! They date the 3100 series to a similar era as Wikipedia. But… the license plate holder carries a ‘1958’. Obviously, there could be any date on a holder like that, but still… why would the owner date the car three or four years younger? With a 2001 Toyota, that would increase the resale value, but with a 50 year old truch that’s hardly logical 🙂 Oh well, it is a nice light weight truck, and it is for sale! So if you want to become the proud owner of this impressive truck…

I will check the original sized pictures for the telephone number in the back window. But please be advised: these pictures were taken a while back, and the car is located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands!

And, again, but just to make sure: I am not the owner of the car, neither am I the seller of this car! I am a car spotter, all I did was happen to spot it on the road someday.
