A new year, and lots of new visitors. Not surprisingly, with so many nice car pictures online. Las month, the top ten wasn’t very exciting, well, this first new list is harboring a little, ugly gold-and-silver surprise!
- Mercedes 220 SE (W111) fin body (2)
- Toyota Landcruiser BJ45 HT LD (1)
- fiat 126 (abarth) (3)
- BMW 3.0 CS (E9) (1971-1975) (-)
- Volvo 440 Toncar Estate conversion!!! (4)
- Opel Agila Njoy (-)
- Austin FX4 London taxi cab (7)
- Fiat 500 K or Giardiniera (-)
- Fiat 124 Sport Spider (1985) (8)
- Lada Niva 4*4 (autoVAZ) (-)
So, lots of new cars in the top ten list, with a remarkable appearance of one of the first cars I posted here, the Opel Agila Njoy. This ugly and stupid looking car was one of the first cars in the ‘Ugly’ category where I thought that ‘Ugly’ just wasn’t strong enough. So why the many visiters? Well, I might have posted a link in a discussion on two-tone Bugatti Veyron’s versus one color paint jobs… which set of quite a lot of visitors
I am sad that the lovely Fiat 600/Seicento Multipla (1960′s) has dropped out of the top ten, but with the stained Multipla name, well, you are not going to get much Google hits…
Waizfisz‘s Landcruiser has lost a notch, not surprising to the Heckflosse. Since some time, another fin tail Mercedes is posted here on the site, but for reasons unknown to me this identical (albeit in a different color) car does not receive the attention the silvery one does. The FX3 and FX4 London taxi cabs both are cars that attract ‘single search, single click’ visitors. Oh well.
In absolute numbers, the unique visitor stats are rising. Which makes me happy, naturally. What kinda pisses me off is the fact that the site is sometimes offline. As in, several hours per week. Something that seldom happens with my other provider, where my kayaking site is hosted (it hasn’t notably been down for nearly a decade now…). Obviously, that host is way more expensive than here, but for yet another site-in-development I am testing a third hosting party. Maybe I will be moving in the near future, we will see.
Oh, and I could use some more comments! Jan can’t discuss interesting car facts all by himself!!!
