Well, not a very rare car, probably, but as with the new Fiat 500, the first one is always nice to look at. So enjoy the pictures of my first, and probably last, Mini Cooper Clubman. In a Hot Chocolate paint scheme, if I am not mistaken. The lads from Top Gear absolutely detest this car, but I must say in real life it doesn’t really look half bad. Well, this first time I see the Clubman. Naturally, it has nothing to do with everything that Mini stood for, and for sure it will be adopted by some half-witted subculture. This car really is the proverbial hair dressers’ car
But for now, I still can enjoy the sight of a new car on the streets.
Very handy, somebody had parked his (of more probable her) regular new Mini behind the Clubman, so comparing is easy. Although we are talking estate/break, the passengers only have two full doors. But to help to get into the back seats, there is some sort of half semi sort of extra door on the right side… Effectively giving this Mini suicide doors. Which is lucky, because the marketeers at BMW Mini had branded the sideways opening back doors suicide doors. Those back doors (picture two) I actually kinda like. They are probably highly annoying when you have to load something big into the back, but still.
I wonder if the right hand drive Mini’s will have one of those semi fake doors on the left?

TG doesn’t hate the thing; they kinda think it makes more sense then a normal Mini makes. But not as an estate.
