Peugeot 304 S Cabriolet (1969-80)

This Peugeot really has won my heart. If anything shows from earlier posts, I certainly have a thing for old French cars. But this little, ugly, strangely proportioned 304s really is near the top for me, well, at least till I spot something even better. For sheer amusement, the Citroën 2CV AZ-L is even better, but this car looks as if it even could be practical. Well, sort of anyway.

It was moderately advanced for its time, having fully independent suspension, all alloy overhead camshaft engine, four speed gearbox sharing the same oil as the engine, front disc rear drum brakes and headlights that could adjust for left/right hand drive.

For those of you who can read French, this is a great site on the lovely Peugeot 304S. Enjoy!

One of the coolest cars recently posted. The 2cv looks very much like an aftermarket rebuild to me. this Peugeot defintely is not.
