Right before Christmas, somebody decided to go gift shopping in his 6.1 liter Hemi V8 rear-wheel drive Dodge Charger SRT-8. Maybe he was in a hurry
The pictures aren’t that great, the Charger was, well, charging away while I was bravely peddling along on my little bike
I don’t really fancy the modern American muscle cars, but the sound of that accelerating Hemi V8 what quite an impressive noise…
This modern remake of the classic Charger is powered by a 425 hp version of the 6.1 L Hemi, and is equipped with upgraded Brembo brakes. The engine produces 420 ft·lbf (569 N·m) of torque. The 425 net horsepower of the modern 6.1 L Hemi makes it even more powerful than the legendary Hemi engines of the muscle car era, the biggest of which was rated at 425 gross horsepower. This makes the 6.1 L Hemi engine the most powerful V8 engine that Chrysler has ever put in a production vehicle.
